The vegocracy report´23

The 2023 Vegocracy report aims at closing the gap

The food we eat accounts for 30% of global CO2 emissions. So, it’s high time to change how and what we eat. It’s time to close the gap between what we know and what we do. With the 2023 Vegocracy report, we try to tear down the barriers and begin closing the gap.

Basically, it’s all in the head. Because, on some level, we all know that we must start eating differently, changing how we look at food. We need more green. But most of this knowledge stays pretty far back in the head, leading to absolutely no change at all. And we build subconscious barriers between what we know and what we eat. Remaining ignorant.

In Picadeli’s 2023 Vegocracy report, we’ve taken a hard look at the barrier – the gap between what we know we should do and the things we don’t. All in relation to the food we stuff our faces with. We’ve asked some pretty uncomfortable questions – all in the hopes that the questions (and maybe the answers) will help inspire a change.

The gap affects us all, and to close it, we need awareness, knowledge, and new perspectives. And we need a global political-economic mindset shift.

Can we achieve this with our Vegocracy report? Probably not. But Greenfood and Picadeli are part of the conversation, driving awareness. We’re really doing our part. And we want you to take a leap over the gap and join us on the other side of the barrier.
