Greenfood discusses food and public health in Washington

At this year’s SACC Executive Forum in Washington, Picadeli and Greenfood CEO David von Laskowski participated in a fireside chat with Asmeret Berhe-Lumax from One Love Community Fridge. The conversation focused on a shared mission: making healthy food both accessible and affordable for everyone.

The discussion touched on public health, technology, and sustainable business models. David emphasized the unique strength of the transatlantic perspective, where Sweden’s strong traditions in public health and technological innovation meet the U.S.’s ability to understand consumers and scale rapidly.

“We combine Sweden’s health culture and engineering tradition with the U.S.’s ability to build strong brands. It’s a powerful combination for scaling healthy fast food globally,” said David von Laskowski.

Together with Asmeret Berhe-Lumax, the conversation also highlighted the importance of collaboration between private companies and nonprofit organizations.

With the help of smart technology and a salad bar that can be quickly and easily installed in grocery stores, Picadeli has created a concept that makes it easy to choose healthier food, without compromising on taste, price, or convenience.

Today, Picadeli is Europe’s leading platform for healthy fast food, with over 2,100 salad bars across Europe and nearly 200 in the U.S.
